I have been working for Poronui Hunting for more than 13 years. My passion for deer and hunting starts with the deer farm on the property. I am lucky to see animals start their life here and eventually see them become a highly regarded trophy for hunters. It’s a great feeling to share the hunter's excitement of a once-in-a-lifetime hunt.

Darrin started hunting with his dad and relatives when he was just five years old. They hunted red, fallow, rusa, and sika deer, and they also did a lot of pig hunting with their own dogs. Darrin enjoys seeing the pleasure clients experience while hunting at Poronui and, for many, securing their trophy of a lifetime. When Darrin’s not hunting, he enjoys sea and freshwater fishing, sea diving, and tramping.

I am very passionate about the outdoors. I've been hunting since I was knee high to a grasshopper. My favorite deer to hunt are red stags and sika deer. Seeing the sun wake up is the best time of day for me.

Keith is not only a deer and sheep farmer, but also a velvet buyer and stock agent. Hunting, particularly hunting sika, has been a passion of his from a very young age. His love of the outdoors and thrill of the stalk is infectious. As Keith says, the challenge of guiding a hunter on a wily sika is a very special experience.
