Head Hunting Guide, Mark McGlashan shares some of his 2019 hunting season photos with us.
The season started early and well this year, with Margaret’s SCI540 Red Stag in February.
The favourable spring and early summer conditions have helped produce a good number of high-end trophies. The biggest of the season, being Jan’s unique SCI612 trophy.
Different hunters see different qualities in the stags – some wanting heavy with a lot of “junk”, while others seek perfect symmetry and some like drop tines. It’s always interesting talking to the hunters to find out what their dream stag looks like – I enjoy being out helping them fulfil their dreams.
