Our Policy

Reservation Confirmation
To confirm a booking, a 25% non-refundable deposit of the booked hunt is required to be paid by the customer within 7 days. Payment of the initial deposit is confirmation of acceptance of these terms and conditions by the customer. Poronui is under no obligation to place or maintain that booking until the deposit has been paid.
A further 25% of the booked hunt must be paid to Poronui at least 6 months prior to the scheduled date of arrival at Poronui.
The balance of the booked hunt will be due no later than 30 days prior to arrival.

Cancellation Policy
If a booking is cancelled prior to 6 months of the date that the customer is scheduled to arrive at Poronui, the initial 25% deposit will be credited to a future hunt within 12 months of the original booked dates.
If a booking is cancelled between 3-6 months prior to the date that the customer is scheduled to arrive at Poronui, the customer will forfeit 50% of the total deposit paid, the remaining 50% of the deposit may be credited to a future hunt within 12 months of the original booked dates.
If a booking is cancelled within 3 months of the date that the customer is scheduled to arrive at Poronui, the customer will forfeit the total deposit paid and not be subject to a postponement.

Terms of Trade
These terms of trade apply to all dealings between Poronui Hunting and its customers. A customer enters into a contract and is bound by these terms of trade on placing a reservation or “booking” with Poronui Hunting.

Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend full travel insurance, including trip cancellation and interruption, baggage protection, medical expenses, accidental death and dismemberment, emergency evacuation and repatriation, and emergency assistance service. There are a number of reputable vacation insurance companies.

Payment
Prices are quoted in US dollars or NZ dollars as indicated. All prices include NZ Goods and Services Tax (GST) other than trophy rates which may be zero-rated for GST if exported, or be subject to GST at 15% if not exported. Poronui accepts NZ cash, direct transfer, and Visa, MasterCard and AMEX. A 2.3% credit card fee applies.
