His passion for hunting and the outdoors was recognised from a young age and has followed him throughout his life. Craig’s varied career history includes being an outdoor sports journalist and editor as well as serving 31 years in the Marine Corps and co-hosting of Guns & Ammo TV and Petersen’s Hunting Adventures TV.

But what does this official endorsement mean for our guests?

The organisation’s mission is ‘to create a separate marketplace for the serious hunter and excellent outfitter’ and they are committed to this. Only 100 outfitters worldwide can be part of the program, meaning only the most excellent hunting experiences make the cut.

The intense vetting process includes a visit to each destination and the one underlying criteria that a property needs to meet is ‘would Craig recommend the outfit to his best friend?’. This approach makes the recommendation all the more important as it is less about the lodge’s facilities and more about the experience as a whole.
